We cannot emphasize more the great benefits of
Group Exercise Classes & Small Group Trainings!
Here are 5 Benefits to remember that will help with your fitness journey:
The Motivation
It’s inspiring and motivating to be surrounded by dedicated, like-minded individuals. It doesn’t get much more empowering than a class with an encouraging instructor and supportive people all working hard together. Group fitness is a great way to help motivate yourself to dig deeper and push harder in workouts.
Workout Structure
Group fitness is a great way to get a workout without having to think or plan. Each class is carefully coordinated and structured by your instructor. The class will consist of a warm-up, designed to help you properly raise your heart rate while loosening your joints and muscles before jumping into strenuous activity.
The workout itself will be a balanced workout in which the instructor will coach you through each segment. Finally, the cool-down which will help you safely lower your heart rate and stretch all the major muscles worked during class.
Safety, Proper Form & Technique
It is our job and a priority not only show proper form, but to also make sure that everyone in the class is executing each exercise safely and correctly. Not only is proper form important for your muscles to reap the most out of every exercise, but it also helps eliminate potential injuries.
Workout Routine Variety
Cardiovascular exercise, strength, toning, muscle conditioning and flexibility are all benefits from participating in group exercise classes. They are designed for total body workouts for the most part. Keep in mind that having a variety of classes in your weekly workout regimen is a great way to create muscle confusion, which keeps your body guessing and ramps up your metabolism.
Here at Century Fitness we offer a great variety of classes; from cardio kickboxing (KickMAX), Yoga, Pilates to Zumba & different styles of HIIT classes. These are all designed to accommodate all fitness levels, so nobody will ever feel as they cannot be part of the classes. Also, our Small Group Training Programs which include kettlebells, ropes and TRX training along with bootcamp style workouts are an excellent way to mix things up, stay motivated and never get bored (see posted flyers for details).
Fun and Social
There’s really no other way to put it… Group exercise classes are fun! Between the upbeat music, a great workout and a group of people motivating each other along the way, it’s an enjoyable way to exercise, socialize and make new friends that have similar goals and mindset. If you’re looking to mix things up, add a little more excitement and fun in your fitness life, group classes is just what you need!
